Wanjiru Nguhi

Wanjiru Nguhi is a Kenyan lawyer, political commentator, and founder of Mwafrika Mwenzangu. She is the creator and host of the podcast Mine is a Comment and a frequent media guest on platforms such as Citizen TV and NTV Kenya, where she provides legal and political analysis.

At Baraza Media Lab, she heads the Fumbua program, a collaborative journalism initiative launched during Kenya’s 2022 general election to combat misinformation and strengthen accountability. Wanjiru is widely recognised for curating political safe spaces and advocating for women’s leadership, pushing for greater women’s participation in political processes and stricter campaign finance regulations. Her work sits at the intersection of information integrity, gender, and governance, inspiring African women to engage in democratic processes.
