Virginia Bolatti is deputy director at Fondo de Mujeres del Sur (FMS), a women’s fund that provides financial and technical-political support to organisations that promote the rights of diverse women in several countries of Latin America. She is a political scientist specialised in information production and analysis for public policies. Her commitment to social justice has led her to take part in several grassroots organisations as part of her activist work. She has participated of research teams on Latin American feminism, gender-based violence and appropriation of rights. She joined the FMS in 2012 and coordinated several initiatives in support of WRos, including GBV frontline defenders, SSRRRR advocates, women led unions, environmental defenders and media activists. She is currently leading the implementation of a regional initiative to eradicate technology-facilitated GVB in alliance with seven other women’s funds.
