Shubranshu Choudhary

Shu Choudhary is former journalist with BBC South Asia bureau where he covered all the conflicts in the region for more than a decade. For the last 20 years he has been working on experiments of Democratic Media in low resource areas. He developed world’s first community Radio on mobile phones called CGnet Swara which later got developed as Bultoo (Bluetooth) Radio which catered to areas where there are no mobile phone signals yet. He is currently working to develop AI-R (Artificial Intelligence Radio) in remote forest regions of Central India where AI agents will help reduce costs. Shu also works as a peace activist in Central India and believes if the media is inclusive and gives equal access to all that may stop future wars. He feels as last century was the century of democratisation of politics, this could be for democratisation of media which will strengthen political democracies.
