Samm Farai Monro AKA Comrade Fatso is Zimbabwe’s trailblazing political satirist, a media disruptor and an African climate justice organiser. Farai is co-founder of Magamba Network, one of Africa’s leading creative and digital media organisations working on the cutting edge of arts, digital media, activism and innovation. He is also the convenor of Kick Polluters Out, a movement of African creatives fighting against Big Polluters and for a just, green and participatory Africa. Farai’s award-winning work has been highlighted and featured on CNN, the BBC, Le Monde, Forbes Magazine, Channel 4 (UK) and The Guardian to name a few.

Farai has been a major innovator in creative African climate justice activism through building networks of creatives challenging big polluters, incubating young African climate media startups and supporting African storytellers to fight climate disinformation. He is the convenor of Fake News Fighters, an African network of youth hubs combating climate disinformation, and is the co-founder of the Green Media Accelerator, an incubation platform for young African climate media start-ups.
