Marie-Louise Koch Wegter took up her position as Director for Humanitarian Affairs and Civil Society in the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 1 February 2025. Prior to this position, she has worked in a range of leading positions in the Danish foreign service, most recently as

Ambassador Wegter has an International MBA from Copenhagen Business School and worked as Senior Analyst in the Danish Institute for International Studies from 2009 to 2011.
