Magnus Ag is Head of Public Interest Tech at IMS (International Media Support) and currently helps build Good Commons, a collective run by JamiiAfrica, Splice and IMS, that wants to help you build strong communities. He is a human rights advocate, journalist, researcher and the founder of Bridge Figures, a human rights project in a data-driven world.
With more than 20 years’ experience at the intersection of technology, journalism, art and human rights, Magnus has previously worked for the Committee to Protect Journalists, Freemuse, reported on the 2019 pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong and served as board member for the Global Network Initiative (GNI) and as an adviser to Columbia University’s signature research project The Politics of Visual Art in a Changing World and to Avant-Garde Lawyers. He has lived in New York, Berlin, Hong Kong and is currently based in Copenhagen.
