Gaston Wright

Gaston Wright is a social innovation and digital rights expert who leverages technology for social change. He is the founder of Civic Compass, a Latin American think tank focused on digital rights, AI, content moderation and political polarisation. Previously, he launched Change.org Argentina, building it into one of the region’s leading social platforms with over 10 million users. He has served as Public Policy Manager for the South Cone at Meta (formerly Facebook) and spent over a decade at Ashoka, leading global digital initiatives. Gaston has also consulted for the Inter-American Development Bank and the Womanity Foundation. He holds an MA in Political Science from the University of Toronto, studied Internet Regulation at LSE, and teaches Political Science and Technology at Torcuato Di Tella University and the University of Buenos Aires.
