Olga Yurkova

Olga Yurkova is a PhD in social communications, a journalist, and co-founder of StopFake.org, an independent Ukrainian organization focused on countering propaganda and disinformation in the media. She educates diverse audiences on how propaganda works and how to identify fake news, and also consults various organizations while continuing to collaborate with mainstream media as a journalist. For her work in fighting propaganda, she was named one of the New Europe 100 changemakers in 2016 and became a TED Fellow in 2018.
